The heart of Project Seond Home lies in helping those in need, inspired by a belief that everyone deserves a second chance. Growing up, I faced challenges that shaped me into a compassionate individual. When my mother fell ill, I took on her responsibilities at a young age. Though my family wasn’t perfect, their love and resilience gave me strength and inspired my passion for helping others.
Traveling to places like Calcutta, Vietnam, and Nigeria, I witnessed heartbreaking realities: children abandoned, young girls forced into impossible decisions, and families struggling to survive. One encounter with a 14-year-old mother in Calcutta, forced to abandon her newborn, profoundly affected me. What if there had been a safe place for her to turn to?
This question led to the founding of Project second Home and the creation of Second Home—a haven where young parents can find the support they need to build a better future for themselves and their children. By providing stability, care, and resources, we strive to keep families together and give children the love and safety they deserve.
While I can’t change the world, I can start here—helping families stay together and creating brighter tomorrows. That is the mission of Project Second Home.

I’ve seen firsthand the challenges young families face in Nigeria. Financial struggles, unplanned pregnancies, and limited resources make it incredibly hard for young parents to provide a stable, nurturing environment for their children. In Nigerian culture, family is everything, and watching families struggle with these challenges deeply resonates with me.
The goal of Project Second Home is simple: to keep families together. I know how important it is for parents and children to stay united, especially in a culture where family bonds are at the heart of everything. Through this project, we offer more than just shelter. We provide stability, education, and empowerment to help parents become independent and confident caregivers. In Nigerian culture, we value community and togetherness, and that’s exactly what we want to foster through this program. At the end of the day, what we want most is to help these families break the cycle of hardship and build a brighter future, rooted in the love and support that define us as a people.
Project Second Home isn’t just about offering short-term relief—it’s about giving families the tools to create lasting change and a better life for themselves and their children, while staying connected to their cultural values and traditions.
